I am sending you all positive energy and love. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. None of these blessings would be possible without all of you, friends, and family. **Hugged dad in person for the first time in 20 years Developed a closer relationship with mom and dad, realized and fully accepted that my parents are unconditionally loving and supportive Was able to be there for people when there have been deaths in the family Met the love of my life/celebrated 5 years together last year Began working at The Fortune Society, helping people who have spent time in prison or jail find and access safe and stable homes and combating housing discrimination Began speaking on DWI Victim Impact Panels and at rehabilitation facilities (and at AA meetings) to hopefully help at least one person each time Completed the 12 steps and later realized that undertaking them multiple times while sober is critical to my sobriety (you never really fully "finish" them) Celebrated over 17 years of living in New York City and Discovered that true freedom, peace, serenity and happiness come from within made spiritual progress. During that time, there have been many moments and developments that I am grateful for here are a few: Today, I am celebrating 9 years of sobriety.
